What are 3 primary colors?
Red, Yellow, and Blue
How are secondary colors created? Cite an example.
Secondary colors are created by mixing two of the primary colors. For example, if you mix yellow and blue you will get green.
How are tertiary colors created? Cite an example
Tertiary colors are created by mixing a primary color and a tertiary color in varying amounts. For example, mixing green and blue will get a blue-green/teal color.
What is the difference between subtractive and additive color models?
The primary colors of the subtractive color model are Red, Yellow, and Blue; and as you mix the colors they can only get darker. The primary colors of the additive color model are Red, Green, and Blue; and if you layer all of those colors you get white.
How can color affect our perception?
Different colors schemes can trigger certain emotions by reminding people of certain locations or holidays, such as the beach or Christmas. Certain color combinations can make people hungry, or awake feeling, as well.
How does one color affect another?
A color can appear more or less vibrant depending on the color(s) next to or surrounding it.
